Global Aerospace Technology Philippines Inc. is expanding its Philippine footprint with a new facility at First Philippine Industrial Park in Batangas, less than a year after opening a base at Cavite Technopark. Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that the company plans to produce aerospace parts and components for international customers, adding another advanced-manufacturing project to the country’s growing industrial pipeline. The expansion covers a technology-intensive sector where machining, fabrication, molding and assembly must meet demanding quality and traceability requirements for global aviation supply chains.

The Batangas operation will focus on manufacturing, fabrication, machining, injection molding, thermoforming and assembly. Those capabilities complement the company’s existing work in Cavite, where it manufactures and assembles unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned aircraft systems, special-purpose machinery and aerospace components. The two-site footprint gives the firm room to serve different production needs while building local expertise. It also positions Philippine factories to participate in higher-value manufacturing rather than limiting the country’s role to basic assembly or support services for Philippine industry and workers.

PEZA Director General Tereso Panga said the investment demonstrates confidence in the Philippines as a competitive base for advanced aerospace manufacturing. The agency expects the project to support technology and knowledge transfer, strengthen the domestic supply chain and create opportunities for smaller businesses. Inquirer reported that the expansion is also expected to support major aerospace companies including Collins Aerospace and Safran Aerospace. These links could raise the standards required from local tooling, materials, testing and engineering-service providers and future export opportunities.

The project arrives as manufacturing remains a major investment driver for PEZA. The agency said manufacturing accounted for 89 of 222 projects approved so far in 2026, while total approved investments reached ₱297.14 billion across sectors. For the Philippine technology ecosystem, aerospace expansion matters because it connects industrial parks, engineering talent, export logistics and specialized suppliers. The longer-term opportunity will depend on whether local firms can capture more design, process-engineering and certification work around the new facilities and related technical services.
