Apple is bringing its fourth-generation Apple TV 4K to Philippine customers soon, with local pricing set at ₱21,990. The announcement positions the device as more than a streaming box: it is also a home hub for connected accessories, a gaming and fitness screen, and a way to bring FaceTime and personal photos into the living room. The Philippine price was reported by Inquirer Technology after Apple published its October 13 newsroom announcement. The company has not yet published a Philippine delivery date.

The new model uses Apple’s A19 chip, which the company says delivers up to 50 percent faster CPU performance and up to twice the GPU performance of the previous generation. Apple also added a dedicated AV1 decoder for more efficient high-quality streaming with lower bandwidth demands. Those changes target everyday responsiveness, including navigation and animation, while making the hardware more useful in households with fast internet and large streaming libraries. Apple is also positioning the chip as a practical upgrade for faster menus and more responsive interactive content.

The Apple TV Remote keeps its familiar shape but adds Find My support, Precision Finding and the option to play a sound when it is misplaced. The device itself includes Wi-Fi and Thread, allowing it to connect with compatible smart-home accessories. Apple says HomeKit Secure Video can use secure local processing, while supported doorbells can send notifications to the television so users can see and speak with visitors without stopping what they are watching. That makes the box relevant to households that are gradually adding connected locks, cameras, sensors or doorbells.

Apple is also expanding the living-room use case through Apple Fitness+, Apple Arcade, the App Store, FaceTime with Continuity Camera and customizable iCloud photo displays. Availability in the Philippines is described as coming soon, so buyers should wait for Apple’s local sales channel to publish delivery and stock details. Retail timing and warranty terms will be important to Philippine buyers comparing premium streaming devices. The ₱21,990 price gives the product a clear premium position, especially for households already invested in Apple’s wider home ecosystem. Its strongest appeal is therefore likely to be integration for existing Apple users, rather than a low-cost streaming upgrade.
