Apple has introduced Apple Watch Series 12 with a new Health Sensing System and the S11 chip. The company says the watch delivers higher-frequency heart-rate and heart-rate-variability measurements, which support new health and fitness features including a readiness score. Apple also says the design keeps privacy, security, and accessibility at the center of its new sensing and audio features.
The watch measures heart rate every five seconds and measures HRV up to 24 times more often, according to Apple. Its readiness feature analyzes activity, training load, vitals, and sleep score to provide a 0-to-10 recommendation such as Recover, Pace Yourself, Ready, or Go For It. Apple says the score can update during the day as new health data arrives.
Apple Watch Series 12 continues to offer up to 24 hours of everyday battery life, while outdoor workout battery life can reach up to 10 hours. Apple also says a 15-minute charge can provide up to 12 hours of additional battery life. These claims are manufacturer specifications and should be considered alongside actual usage, workout settings, and regional product configurations.
The S11 chip also enables new Audio Intelligence features and Siri AI on Apple Watch with watchOS 27, while Apple’s redesigned Health app is expected later this year. The company says the Health app will add a Longevity tab and Health Age feature, though some services are initially described as U.S.-specific. Philippine availability and pricing should be confirmed separately through Apple’s local channels.
