BYD and ACMobility are bringing vehicles, charging technology and ownership education to the 14th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City. The three-day event runs from October 22 to 24, 2026, and is open from 9 AM to 7 PM. BYD’s official announcement frames the showcase as more than a display of cars: visitors can examine battery and charging technology, learn about safety and explore the services that make electric mobility practical in the Philippines.
The automaker says six BYD models will be available for test drives, covering different vehicle sizes and powertrain choices. The lineup includes the Seagull, Atto 2 EV, Atto 2 DM-i Premium, Seal 5 DM-i Dynamic, Sealion 6 DM-i and Tang DM-i. That mix gives visitors a chance to compare a compact urban EV, SUVs, a sedan and plug-in hybrid systems. Test drives cannot replace independent evaluation, but they can help buyers understand ride comfort, controls, visibility and charging expectations before making a decision.
ACMobility will also present an ecosystem around ownership rather than focusing only on vehicle hardware. The company highlights home charger installation through Greenstrum, more than 200 charging hubs nationwide, a mobile charging service and the Evro app for locating stations, checking availability, monitoring sessions and handling payments. Those layers address common barriers for first-time EV buyers, especially the practical question of where a vehicle can charge during ordinary commutes and longer provincial trips for everyday Filipino travel and families today.
The summit arrives as Philippine companies and policymakers continue discussing how to scale electric mobility through infrastructure, financing, standards and consumer education. BYD’s event announcement says the opening-day safety program will cover battery technology, safe charging, emergency procedures and ownership costs. The exhibition cannot solve every adoption challenge, but it puts vehicles, software, charging and safety in one place. For prospective buyers, the useful outcome is a clearer view of the full ownership system, not just a list of new models and prices for new drivers across cities and provinces.
