GCash Tap-to-Pay is now appearing on iPhones in the Philippines, more than a year after the contactless feature first became available on Android. YugaTech reports that some users can access the feature through the latest GCash app version by opening the Pay section, selecting the Tap-to-Pay icon, and accepting the terms. Once enabled, the iPhone can be tapped on a GCash terminal to make a contactless payment.
GCash later clarified that theiOS rollout is still in testing, so availability may vary by user and app version. The feature is intended to make payments easier for merchants and customers who use iPhones, while expanding GCash’s reach across mobile platforms. Users should update the app and rely on official GCash notices before treating the rollout as fully public or permanent. Source:YugaTech.
