Pleased.com has opened its Philippine headquarters in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, giving the customer-service software company a permanent base in one of the country’s busiest technology districts. BusinessMirror reported that the firm, founded in Europe about four years ago, had previously operated remotely. The office signals a shift toward building a deeper local technology presence while serving customers through cloud-based support tools.
The company plans to hire as many as 110 employees in the Philippines over the next 12 months, with most roles focused on technology and product development. Pleased.com has already hired administrative staff and around 10 local engineers, and it is targeting 50 engineers by the end of the year. The recruitment plan places Filipino technical graduates at the center of the company’s regional growth strategy.
Founder and CEO Jonathan Sterling said the company is looking for engineers with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in STEM fields. The pitch is familiar to the Philippine technology sector: create high-quality jobs that allow skilled workers to remain in the country while contributing to global software products. For local graduates, the expansion could add another pathway into international SaaS work without requiring relocation.
The new office also highlights the wider role of the Philippines in customer-service technology, product engineering, and remote operations. Pleased.com’s hiring target will depend on execution, but the announcement adds another data point to the country’s continuing effort to retain technical talent. Viper.ph will track the company’s local hiring updates and any new services that become available to Philippine customers.
