VinFast Auto Philippines has launched an online-to-offline platform that lets customers begin buying a vehicle through the company’s digital channels. The move arrives as the electric-vehicle maker expects total Philippine sales to exceed 8,000 units this year, compared with roughly 1,000 units last year. Company executives said the platform responds to inquiries arriving through the website and social media. It adds a digital starting point to a purchase journey that still connects customers with physical dealerships, test drives and delivery support.

The sales target reflects a sharp change in VinFast’s local momentum. Industry data cited by The Philippine Star showed the company sold 5,417 units from January through September, up from 115 units in the same period last year. Management expects to average about 1,000 units per month from October to December. Those numbers include the company’s broader vehicle lineup, but the growth gives VinFast a larger base from which to promote electric mobility and expand customer service operations.

An online-to-offline model can reduce friction for buyers who want to compare models, request information or start a reservation before visiting a showroom. It also gives VinFast a way to measure interest by model and location, then route qualified prospects to sales teams. The challenge is maintaining a consistent experience across web pages, financing conversations, test drives and delivery. A digital storefront can attract leads, but trust is still built through transparent pricing, clear specifications and dependable after-sales support. Buyers will expect the same clarity online and in person.

The platform also arrives as Philippine EV competition broadens and shoppers become more comfortable researching expensive purchases online. VinFast has separately promoted early bookings for the all-new VF 8, showing how digital campaigns can support product launches. The company’s next test will be conversion: turning online inquiries into completed purchases while keeping the dealership network ready. If the model works, online vehicle sales could become a normal gateway for Filipino EV buyers rather than a novelty reserved for early adopters.
