Xiaomi is reportedly testing aSmart Privacy Displayfor future flagship phones, giving HyperOS users a hardware-level way to make screens harder for people nearby to view. YugaTech reports that the feature was found in an unspecified global ROM build and works by narrowing the display’s viewing angles. A related App Privacy Display setting could automatically activate the protection when selected apps, such as Gallery, Passwords, or Notes, are opened.

The test build also includes personalized app groups, allowing users to bundle apps and apply privacy rules together. YugaTech says the features currently appear only on China ROM builds, and Xiaomi has not officially confirmed them. The Smart Privacy Display could debut with the Xiaomi 18 Series, which is expected next month. Until Xiaomi announces the feature, its availability, supported models, and final behavior remain subject to change. Source:YugaTech.
