PayMongo and consumer-finance company Skyro are linking approved credit with PayMongo’s digital merchant network, according to InsiderPH. The collaboration allows participating businesses to continue accepting QR Ph payments without installing new terminals or building another integration. For Filipino consumers, the arrangement could make approved Skyro credit usable across more everyday merchant transactions while giving small businesses access to customers who may not have conventional credit cards.
The partnership addresses a gap between rising digital-payment use and limited formal-credit access. InsiderPH reports that QR Ph represented 55 percent of PayMongo’s payment volume in the first half of 2026, while Skyro has issued more than two million product loans in the Philippines.
